Last week, the video game community were enraged by Kotaku’s story on the shady dealings and ghosting of indie publisher Nicalis.
Joel, the developer of Ittle Dew 2+, has went on record to call Nicalis a “shit publisher”. When Joel cancelled Nicalis’ license to publish Ittle Dew 2+ 6 months ago, Nicalis first agreed to transfer the games over to Joel.
Instead of fulfilling their promise, Nicalis ghosted Joel and delisted Ittle Dew 2+ on the Nintendo eShop and all other platforms it is on today. Now customers can no longer purchase Ittle Dew 2+ digitally and Joel is scrambling for a way to re-publish the games or, at the very least, reinstate the listings.
