Japan sales tracker Media Create has released their latest round of sales data taken from March 26 to April 1, 2018.
It has been a quiet week for Nintendo software sales, as the top 3 games of the week were new releases for PS4. Kirby Star Allies (Switch), which launched 2 weeks ago, has managed to maintain its sales momentum, having sold 50,437 copies (4th place) last week. The game now raked in 357,093 copies since launch.
Games such as Splatoon 2 (Switch, 5th, 25,639), Detective Pikachu (3DS, 8th, 15,584), Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Switch, 9th, 14,486), and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch, 11th, 9373) continue to perform strongly on the software charts.
Despite the lack of major Switch releases last week, 44,033 Nintendo Switch consoles moved in Japan last week, constituting 52.6% of all video game hardware sales. The PS4, following behind at 2nd place, doesn’t even come close – it sold 17,457 units. Nintendo 3DS family of systems sales continue to decline, pushing out 9463 systems.
