The Bayonetta Non-Stop Climax Edition, exclusively available in Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, will not be reprinted.
Pre-orders for the Bayonetta Non-Stop Climax Edition were completely sold out at major retailers across Japan the day it started. Even pre-orders for the Climax Edition on My Nintendo Store and other Japanese resellers have fully sold out, leaving eBay the only viable option.
The reason why it’s highly sought after within Japan and overseas is because it’s the only way of getting Bayonetta 1 on a Game Cart. In North America, a digital code to redeem Bayonetta 1 is packaged together with Bayonetta 2, and the same thing happens in Europe with the Bayonetta Special Edition.
A small Japanese retailer who orders stock from Nintendo Sales Co, Ltd has told NintendoSoup that despite the high demand, Nintendo has no plans to reprint the Climax Edition as it’s a “limited quantity” product. So if you’re haven’t bought the Climax Edition yet, perhaps it’s time to do so before the price rises even higher!
