Japan: Day One Sales For Wizard’s Symphony, Zoids Wild, Darius Cozmic Collection & Doraemon: Nobita’s Chronicle

Media Create has published Day-One sales figures for several new Switch titles this week.

Both Wizard’s Symphony and Zoids Wild: King of Blast performed decently on their launch days. Both sold through around 30% of their initial shipments, which is expected of such smaller titles. In the case of Wizard’s Symphony, the PS4 version sold more than the Switch version.

Meanwhile, Darius Cozmic Collection has been selling shockingly well despite being a more niche arcade shoot-em-up title. Namely, it sold about 50% of its initial shipment. While it’s too early to tell, this amazing sales performance might be due to the game not being available on the Japanese eShop.

Finally, Doraemon: Nobita’s Chronicle of the Moon Exploration fell completely flat on its face. The game only sold a miserable 10% of its initial shipment on launch day – which is sadly expected of many licensed titles in Japan nowadays.

Check out a summary below.

  • Wizard’s Symphony
    • 30% sell-through
    • PS4 version sold more
  • Zoids Wild: King of Blast
    • 30% sell-through
    • Low sales, but should improve during the weekend
  • Darius Cozmic Collection
    • 50% sell-through
    • Surprisingly high sales for a niche release
  • Doraemon: Nobita’s Chronicle of the Moon Exploration
    • 10% sell-through
    • Mediocre debut, but on-par for a licensed game from FuRyu
