Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has sold 24,045 copies at retail in Japan during its first week, Media Create says.
The Switch game is a port of the original title on PS4 released in 2016, which sold 60,000 copies at launch.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 made it on the headlines last week when retailers in Japan reported stock shortages all across the country. Replenishments are on the way later this month.
