Japan eSports Union Recognises Puyo Puyo As An eSport

As long as you have the talent for any game, you might just be a future professional eSports player. Take Puyo Puyo for example, it may look just like another casual fun to play video game, but the Japan eSports Union has just recognised Puyo Puyo as a legitimate eSport.

This means that as long as you are more than just proficient in Puyo Puyo, you can sign up to be a Japanese eSport Professional.

This comes just in time for Sega’s first recognised Puyo Puyo Cup on 14-15 April 2018 at Akihabara. Registration opens later this month on 23 March 2018, so start practising!
