Previously, we reported on monpoke – a new line-up of official Pokemon baby products. Along with several pop-up stores in Japan, it looks like The Pokemon Company has also unleashed a new Pokemon mascot suit to greet potential customers!
During the weekend, visitors to the monpoke pop-up stores at Takashimaya Shinjuku and Nihombashi got to meet up with Ludicolo (and Pikachu) up-close! The Ludicolo mascot is pretty accurate to the Pokemon’s videogame appearance – boasting a goofy smile and super fuzzy body.
Check out various photos and videos of the mascot below.
This is most likely the very first time the mascot has made its appearance in the public – since Ludicolo is a key part of monpoke. Unfortunately, it’s not clear if it will make future appearances at the same pop-up stores again.
We’ll report back if and when this adorable costume makes its re-appearance in the future. Stay tuned!
