Famitsu has published the latest video game sales data in Japan for the period between December 24 and December 30, 2018.
According to Famitsu, 186,806 Nintendo Switch consoles were sold during the week of Christmas. This is an impressive number given that the Switch sells between 70,000 and 90,000 consoles weekly in Japan.
Meanwhile, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate lifetime sales have hit 2.36 million copies in Japan. The game sold 253,977 copies during Christmas week. Finally, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which launched in 2017, has crossed 2 million units sold.
