Japan: Mewtwo Mascot Makes Appearance To Promote Mewtwo Strikes Back EVOLUTION Film

Along with the all-new Mewtwo Strikes Back EVOLUTION movie premiering soon in Japan, another Pokemon mascot has appeared!

Today, Japanese commuters spotted what looks to be an official Mewtwo mascot costume in front of Shibuya TSUTAYA – a Japanese movie rental chain. The mascot is, of course, wearing a banner with the movie’s title and 12 July 2019 opening date to advertise the film.

Check out various photos and a short video of the mascot in action below, courtesy of Twitter user ryuki 100:

We’re not sure if this is the very first time the mascot has made its appearance in the public – but there’s no denying how amazing it looks! As usual, The Pokemon Company is on point with their mascot costumes…well, except for the hilarious Geodude one.

We’ll report back when more of Pokemon’s many mascots make their appearance again!
