Media Create has published their latest round of Japanese sales data for August 13 to August 19, 2018.
As we’ve mentioned earlier, the Nintendo Switch physical release of Minecraft was the No. 1 bestselling game in Japan at 25,948 copies. Lifetime sales for Minecraft Switch are now 212,170 copies at retail.
Interestingly, the 13 bestselling games last week are games either on Nintendo Switch or Nintendo 3DS:

4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (NSW) – 20,346
5. WarioWare Gold (3DS) – 20,142
6. Mario Tennis Aces (NSW) – 18,520
7. Pro Yakyuu Famistar Evolution (NSW) – 13,259
8. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (NSW) – 12,111
9. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (NSW) – 9,682
10. Kirby Star Allies (NSW) – 8,707
11. Pokemon Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon (3DS) – 8,447
12. Octopath Traveler (NSW) – 8,002
13. Super Mario Odyssey (NSW) – 7,066
As with previous weeks, Nintendo Switch remains the top selling video game hardware in Japan, taking 57.2% of market share (54,647 units).
