To ring in the new year, many retailers in Japan (including the Pokemon Center) stock up on Fukubukuro Bags, also known as Lucky Bags. These Lucky Bags contain tons of random goodies at a low price.
Facebook user Joel Legaspi Enriquez has shared photos of a special Nintendo Lucky Bag he purchased in Kyoto, Japan. The Lucky Bag costs 10,800 yen (USD96) and lets customers pick two Nintendo Switch games (Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, ARMS, Pokken Tournament DX). That would mean he has saved 12 dollars per game!
Besides the Nintendo Lucky Bag, there’s also a Super Mario Sweets Bag which contains a Super Mario 2018 Calendar and random assortment of confectionery.
More photos of the contents of both lucky bags can be found in the gallery below.
