If you’re living in Japan and looking for a Nintendo Switch at retail price, there’s a new unexpected location to take note of during your search – Pokemon Center.
Pokemon Center are retail stores in Japan which sell exclusive Pokemon Center merchandise such as plushies, clothing, bags, and other assorted products. A list of them can be found by clicking here.
Although there aren’t any Pokemon games out on Switch yet (Pokken Tournament DX arrives in September), there have been reports of the Nintendo Switch appearing at Pokemon Centers from time to time.
Besides the Pokemon Center, retailers such as Yodobashi Camera, Bic Camera, LABI, AEON, and HMV will occasionally receive restocks. However your mileage will vary as the restocks deplete really quickly.
