Media Create has published their sales data for the period between December 10 and December 16, 2018.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate maintained its No. 1 position on the sales charts this week. The game sold around 400,000 copies this week – which puts its lifetime sales in Japan at around 1.6 million units now. It’s solid performance even outdid the newly-released God Eater 3 (PS4) and JUDGE EYES (PS4).
Nintendo Switch hardware sales have been similarly impressive as well, with 281,213 units sold this week (72.8% of the hardware market). This means that the Switch pretty much sold as well as it did last week, with almost no loss of momentum.
Meanwhile, Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee managed to move 108,773 copies this week, although it was pushed down to No. 4 on the charts.
Following closely at No. 5 is Super Mario Party at 97,529 (figures include Joy-Con bundle), Mario Kart 8 Deluxe selling 29,422 copies at No. 6, and Splatoon 2 moving 27,035 copies at No. 8. Rather than slowing down, it looks like all of Nintendo’s titles are only selling even better after Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s launch!
