Japan: Use PayPal And Get A Discount Coupon On The Switch eShop

Last week, PayPal was added as a payment method to the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch.

As uptake of PayPal is really low in Japan, Nintendo and PayPal have teamed up for a special campaign to encourage customers to use PayPal to purchase games on the eShop.

Starting from today, the first 20,000 users who use PayPal to top up their balance or purchase a game from the Japanese Switch eShop will receive a 500 yen off discount.

The 500 yen discount is only usable on transactions with a minimum spend of 3000 yen, and the coupon expires on December 31, 2017 11:59pm Tokyo Time.
