Japanese Retailer GEO Breaks Holiday Sales Records Thanks To Nintendo Switch

Video game retailer GEO, which operates 500 stores across Japan, has posted one of its best sales records for the third financial quarter.

In GEO’s financial report for Q3 2017, the company says sales for the third quarter of 2017 have beaten sales from the third quarter of all previous years. Keep in mind the company was established in 1989 so they have been in business for 29 years. GEO attributes their success to the Nintendo Switch, which heavily contributed to high sales during the holiday season.
