Japanese Retailer GEO Stops Selling Nintendo Switch Consoles, Offers Them Solely Through Online Lotteries

GEO, one of the largest retailers in Japan, has made a huge decision that would impact the way their customers could get a Nintendo Switch and Ring Fit Adventure.

As shortages for both products have continued till this day, GEO has decided to stop selling both the Switch and Ring Fit Adventure through their store. Instead, both products will be offered solely through the GEO mobile app, where customers have to sign themselves up for an online lottery to win a chance of buying these products.

Receptions to the idea have been mixed, but it does show that the shortages are becoming a serious problem.
