2020 has just started but Pokemon fans have not let up on Pokemon Director Junichi Masuda.
Following a year of divisiveness within the Pokemon community with decisions made for the direction of Sword and Shield, the Pokemon Company recently announced that the generation 8 games will be receiving DLC later this year and the response has been mixed for this as well.
Masuda’s birthday comes just days after this announcement and among the well wishes from Pokemon fans on Twitter there have also been fans wanting an explanation for Game Freak and the Pokemon Company venturing into paid DLC. Here’s the response that Masuda gave to one tweet from a translation done by GoNintendo.
Fan: Please give a word about the removal of the old Pokemon to make money at DLC.
Junichi Masuda: It’s a holiday today and it’s a birthday, can you let me relax?
Fan: I’ll do it later
It seems like he can’t catch a break from the anger and frustration of the internet. What do you think about Masuda’s request for a break? Let us know in the comments.
