PlatinumGames director Hideki Kamiya recently shared a few interesting words about upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive Astral Chain, as translated by NintendoSoup.
When asked by someone whether he has played Astral Chain and what are his thoughts on it, Kamiya said he felt there were minor imperfections with the controls for the protagonist and Gion. Nevertheless, he said it’s easy to get used to controlling these characters.
Kamiya added that Astral Chain feels different from the Bayonetta games, from the battle system’s pacing to the exploration mechanics. This resulted in allowing him to enjoy the game at his own pace, unlike the “rapid-fire action” in Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2.
Finally, Kamiya believes Astral Chain has “more than sufficient” content, so you can probably expect to play it for a long time.
