The latest issue of the Weekly Famitsu, translated by Siliconera, has shared a couple of words from PlatinumGames’ Hideki Kamiya and Atsuhi Inaba about Bayonetta and the upcoming Bayonetta 3.
First, both developers spoke the origins of Bayonetta’s development. They said they decided to release the game on the easiest platform to develop for, which was the Xbox 360. At that time, they couldn’t afford to think about a multi-platform release.
Kamiya also shared a memory he had during the game’s development, where there was a “great big cheer” at the development studio after the team tested out “Bayoneta summoning demons and losing her clothes”. Inaba added it wasn’t because it was dirty, but rather “a joyous cheer to celebrate that all our ideas fit together.”
Lastly, Kamiya shared two small details about Bayonetta 3. He confirmed that the game’s development is “progressing well” and there’s lot of details hidden in the first teaser trailer in 2017.
