Katana ZERO‘s first free update is officially live on Nintendo Switch, adding a bunch of new features and fixing a big bug.
To start off, two new modes were added to the game: Hardcore and Speedrun modes. Both modes make the following changes to your playthrough:
-Hard Mode: New enemies, revamped levels, reworked bosses, and all new challenges.
-Speedrun Mode: Stable enemy behavior, cutscene skipping, and expansive statistics.
Next, developer askiisoft confirmed that the Switch version’s save bug has now been fixed, although players should still be careful when playing Hardcore mode.
Finally, askiisoft confirmed that the game will be sold for 20% off to commemorate the new update, and that players can expect more new content for Katana ZERO in the future.
