Nintendo Hong Kong has revealed the official name of Kirby Star Allies in Chinese, as well as the game’s pre-order bonus.
The Simplified Chinese name is 星之卡比 新星同盟 (Xīngzhī kǎ bǐ xīnxīng tóngméng), which roughly means Kirby of the Stars: Star Allies. The meaning is identical to the Japanese name, 星のカービィ スターアライズ (Kirby of the Stars: Star Allies). Kirby is called 卡比 (kǎ bǐ) in Chinese. It’s a huge day for Chinese Kirby fans, as this is the first time Nintendo has localized a Kirby game in Chinese!
Also shown off the first time is a retractable key-chain for all Kirby Star Allies pre-orders in Hong Kong and Taiwan. This isn’t the first pre-order bonus for first party games, though.
Kirby Star Allies is scheduled to launch March 16, 2018 exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
