Lapis X Labyrinth Gets Second Round Of Details About Characters, Enemies & Items

After the first wave of information we received about Lapis X Labyrinth previously, Nippon Ichi Software is back with another bumper crop of details.

The company just shared even more screenshots and artwork – along with details about characters, enemies, items, and town facilities in the game. They go into depth about the other four of the game’s eight classes: the Gunner, Wizard, Destroyer, and Bishop.

Check out all the details below (courtesy of Gematsu):

■ Player Character

The eight classes of playable characters each have different weapons that they use to attack. For today’s update, we will introduce the “Gunner,” “Wizard,” “Destroyer,” and “Bishop” classes.

Destroyer

The great sword exterminator.

With a great sword larger than its own body, the Destroyer uses powerful attacks with wide range.

  • Weapon: Great Sword

—Assist Order: “Destroy Sword”

Swings downward its great sword and fires a wide range attack.

■ Enemy Characters

Nearly 100 types of enemy characters will appear. Here we will introduce the special traits of just a few.

Hammer Knight

Matango

Uses gas attacks and rams its body using short distance jumps.

Floworm

Fires pollen bullets at the player.

Petite Beast

Killer Bee

Approaches at quick speed with tricky movements and fires needles from its abdomen.

■ Boss Characters

Bosses await at the end of each stage. You may not be able to determine their attacks at first glance.

Queen Bee

While it has the appearance of a Killer Bee, a Queen Bee is especially large. It chases the player while maintaining reasonable distance and using needle attacks.

Antareth

Uses a nose dive attack from a jump, as well as a thrust attack with its spear.

■ Items

You can obtain materials and equipment from the treasure chests you find in dungeons, or the cursed ones that are unsealed after clearing a stage. Depending on the type of treasure chest, there is a higher chance you will receive an item of high purity.

—A copper treasure chest.

—A gold treasure chest.

—Treasure chests are scattered all over each stage. Check every nook and cranny of the stage to find them.

Other than unsealed treasure chests, you can pick up various items that drop by defeating enemies or breaking objects in dungeons. From items that take effect immediately while to those that you can hold on to, this section will introduce just a few of the ones you can find.

—EXP Item

Accumulates the experience points necessary for exploration. By accumulating experience points, your party level will increase, which will strengthen the stats like attack power and HP.

—Fiber Item

Obtaining this activates Fiber Mode.

—Fiber Gem

You can use these to spin the slots during Fiber Mode.

—Gold Coins

While gold coins increase for every drop, if you fail a mission, the gold coins in your possession will be halved.

■ Base Facilities

In town, there are several essential facilities.

Trade Shop

Trade materials and gold coins for items, or sell items.

Dojo

Strengthen your party members’ overall HP, attack power, durability, and more.

The Japanese release of the game launches for Nintendo Switch on November 29 – and you can preorder it here. An Asian release is also due in 2019.
