Latest Dead Cells Update Is Not Free On Switch In Japan Due To Some Error

The Dead Cells Rise of the Giant free DLC launched earlier this week across all regions, however, Japan seems to have been a bit unlucky.

According to Motion Twin, due to a human error, the DLC is not actually free on the Japanese eShop. Downloading it will require players to pay 100 yen.

Small note, for reasons, mostly human error the DLC is NOT free on Switch in Japan. It’s only 100¥ however we know that’s not the same as free. Humble apologies for our Japanese players. We’ll find a way to make it up to you. :/

Funny story behind that… Not actually free in Japan. Definitely need to include an explanation. But mostly came down to me making a stupid decision I couldn’t back out of. Thinking up a solution at the moment. Many apologies for the 100¥ price difference. 🙁

That said, Motion Twin plans to make it up to the Japanese players and is now thinking up for a possible solution.
