Soccer themed franchise, Inazuma Eleven is getting a game next year. Inazuma Eleven Ares will mark the franchise’s first game on the Nintendo Switch.
In the latest edition of Famitsu and translated by Gematsu, Level-5 CEO, Akihiro Hino, opened up about his intentions with the game, one of which is to expand the game’s appeal to a larger audience. As a result, the game will be supported on a larger pool of platforms from the Nintendo Switch, to PlayStation 4 to mobile. Even so, the mobile version will be slightly different from the console versions.
The game will also contain features that will appeal to adult gamers on top of the primary children demographics, though no examples were given at the moment. Development is also underway to allow players to feel like they were really playing a soccer game.
Traditional features such as player scouting will make a return to Ares but new features will be added to it.
Inazuma Eleven Ares will be developed from the ground up, without using any previous assets. The game is slated to be released sometime after the anime goes live in April next year and Hino is confident that the game’s reception could be comparable to that of Yo-Kai Watch.
