Level-5 has released an update regarding Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes, the upcoming Inazuma Eleven title that has been facing numerous development troubles.
Over on Twitter, Level-5’s President Akihiro Hino shared that the company has decided to prioritize development of Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y – Waiwai Gakuen Seikatsu over the new Inazuma Eleven game. This decision was apparently made “for business purposes” and because they need more time to figure out how to make Great Road Of Heroes a hit title.
You can see the post for yourself below, along with a translation via Siliconera:
Pardon the sudden message, but for business purposes we have prioritized the development of Yo-kai Academy Y over Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes. Currently, discussion on the groundwork needed to make [Inazuma Eleven] a hit title is required, so that game development may be allowed to continue. We’re putting all our efforts into making it a good game. Please forgive us for the long wait.
Although not explicitly stated, this presumably means that Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes has likely been further delayed. We will be sure to bring more updates as they come.
