Level-5’s The Snack World Game Seems To Be Getting Localized In The West

Today, we’ve got an exciting news to share for Level-5 fans out in the west! It seems that Level-5’s The Snack World game is now being localized in English!

The news came after a 3Beep listing appeared on the official website stating the company has been “working with Level-5 to create the English language versions of the television series and video game.”

Back in 2017, The Snack World: Trejarers has first seen its debut on the 3DS. It was then followed by a Switch version, The Snack World: TreJarers Gold, which launched in April 2018. Unfortunately, both versions have not seen a release outside of Japan. In South Korea, however, the Switch version has been reportedly given a rating albeit news came almost half a year ago.

Going back to a press release many months prior, Level-5 expressed their commitment to bringing many of their popular franchises to the west including The Snack World. Now, this news of a localization could very well be hinting at an impending Switch announcement for the west soon.

  • SNACK WORLD™ is LEVEL-5’s latest delicacy from Japan. The top 10 TV Tokyo animated series wrapped Season 1 and now is ready for export. SNACK WORLD is a nutty place where mythology, fairy tales, and technology are fusion fare! When an evil mogul wrongs the young hero Chup, the boy and his bite-sized crew embark on an epic adventure of serving just deserts to the giant jerk. The smash hit SNACK WORLD video game debuted on Nintendo 3DS platform in 2017 and on Nintendo Switch in spring 2018. The companion consumer products line won Best Japanese Licensed Character (New Face) at the Licensing Japan Character and Brand Licensing Trade Show in April 2018. The tasty franchise continues to dominate at Japanese retail and indicates similar success abroad.
