After months of silence (and legal tussles), Limited Run Games finally revealed their one and only Wii U release!
The company will be distributing Axiom Verge: Multiverse Edition for Nintendo’s Wii U console. The collector’s bundle will contain:
Pre-orders for the game will go live on Limited Run Games’ website on 29 March 2019 (10 am ET / 7 am PT).
The very late arrival of the WiiU port is due in part to a messy spat between Limited Run Games and Badland Publishing. Apparently, Limited Run Games had paid BadLand $78,000 for the Wii U copies – but BadLand’s own financial issues apparently kept it from fulfilling the deal on-time. This led to BadLand outright ignoring Limited Run Games. As a result, the whole issue erupted into a legal battle, which both companies only recently resolved behind closed doors.
In any case, gaming collectors and WiiU enthusiasts alike will finally be able to own a unique piece of gaming history soon – when March 29 rolls along.
