Along with Straw-Hat Pikachu appearing in the wild across the world, it looks like the popular anime/manga One-Piece is getting one more cameo in Pokemon GO.
Japanese netizens and tourists have discovered that a Luffy statue in Kumamoto prefecture is now its very own PokeStop. As you can see above, it even has its own original artwork in the game, by One Piece artist Eiichiro Oda. For reference, the statue itself looks like this in real-life:
The PokeStop itself has no extra bonuses or anything. However, if you happen to be visiting Oda’s hometown in Kumamoto, you’ll at least know where to find one when walking around with Pokemon GO!
The Straw Hat Pikachu event is still ongoing worldwide until the end of 24 July 2019. If you’ve not caught one for yourself, make sure to keep hunting before the event is over.
