Mad Rat Dead Free Demo Now Live On Switch eShop, Limited-Time Contest Announced

Not sure if you should dive into Mad Rat Dead on Nintendo Switch? Well, now you can dip your toes in for free, while potentially winning some awesome prizes!

NIS America has revealed that a free demo of the rhythm action game is now available from the Switch eShop – allowing players to experience the first 5 levels of the game. Additionally, the publisher has opened a contest calling for players to submit their “S+” scores from the demo, with prizes such as the game’s Limited Edition physical bundle up for grabs!

Small-Cheese Prize

Complete any level from 1-1 through 1-5 with an S+ grade. You must take a photo or screenshot of the song list showing “S+” for any one (1) level. You may only submit once for the Small-Cheese Prize.

Grand-Gouda Prize

Complete levels 1-1 through 1-5 with an S+ grade on “HARD” mode (Top tier). You must capture a video showing “S+” on “HARD” for all five (5) levels, using the respective console’s recording system. You may only submit once for the Grand-Gouda Prize.

If you don’t win the Grand-Gouda Prize, don’t worry! Any entries that do not win in this tier will be entered into our Small-Cheese Prize tier, so you’ll have one more chance to win! (see below).

Rules

To compete in the Mad Rat Dead Demo Contest, you must first download the Mad Rat Dead Demo for either PS4™ or Nintendo Switch™ from Nintendo eShop or PlayStation™ Store.

  • Complete one (1) level with an S+ grade to be entered for a chance to win the Small-Cheese Prize.
  • Complete levels 1-1 through 1-5 with an S+ grade on “HARD” to be entered for a chance to win the Grand-Gouda Prize.
  • One submission per prize, per person.
  • Any grades lower than S+ will not be counted.
  • Specify which tier you are submitting for in the caption – “Small-Cheeze Prize” or “Grand-Gouda Prize”
  • Please avoid having any offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate images in your entry.
  • No spamming entries.
  • Please do not cheat or alter entries that are not your own.
  • Scores in the Japanese version of the Mad Rat Dead demo do not count toward this contest.
  • All contest entries showing S+ must be achieved on the NIS America demo for Mad Rat Dead.
  • We have the right to disqualify entries at our discretion.
