Today we have a very strange piece of news about major Japanese retailer chain Yodobashi Camera.
As of December 6, 2019, Yodobashi Camera has completely sold out all physical copies of Pokemon Sword. This includes both their online site and all their brick-and-mortar locations in Japan. A statement on the site says that they have sold out of their “planned allocation”. This is very unusual news as we don’t normally hear of huge AAA titles like Pokemon selling out in 3 weeks.
That said, the retailer still has stock of Pokemon Shield and the Pokemon Sword and Shield Double Pack. Other major retailers in Japan are still selling Pokemon Sword as well.
