Super Smash Bros. Ultimate dataminers have confirmed a new piece of information concerning how amiibo work in the game.
The Legend of Zelda series Majora’s Mask Link amiibo, which previously triggered the (adult) Link Figure Player in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/Nintendo 3DS, now reads as Young Link in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
In case you forgot how the Majora’s Mask Link amiibo looks like (image from past giveaway):
An actual Super Smash Bros. amiibo for Young Link is scheduled to launch in 2019, but if you ever want a Young Link Figure Player in Smash Bros. Ultimate, the Majora’s Mask Link amiibo is your temporary workaround.
