Last month, the Tokyo District Court demanded Maricar, a go-kart operator, to stop their services and cease misusing costumes that resemble characters from the Mario Kart games.
This came after Nintendo sued Maricar for using Mario Kart IP for their own costumes, go-karts, and even music. Maricar was ordered to pay 10 million yen for copyright infringement.
It appears that despite the judgement, Maricar continues to operate under a new name Mari Mobility Dev. Business appears to be going on as usual.
