Today we have some interesting details to share with you about the Chinese version of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe launching in mainland China.
Thanks to iQue enthusiast Lao Pian we now know there are many differences between the unreleased Chinese version and the International version that supports Simplified Chinese.
First, the Chinese version will have more text localized in Chinese. In the International version, “New Record” and “You Win!” remain untouched in English, while they have been localized in the Chinese version.
Next, it seems the Chinese version of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe lacks Nintendo Labo support, as there is no Nintendo Labo option on the menu.
Last but not least, the most shocking revelation of all – there is no way to play online worldwide. The only options available are “Regional”, “Friends”, and “Rivals”.
