It looks like Nintendo’s Mario Kart Tour had quite the head-start.

Sensor Tower has released a new report on the performance of mobile games during Q3 2019, and the racing title definitely was no slouch. During the quarter, Mario Kart Tour ranked in as the third-most downloaded mobile game across both Android and iOS combined – with over 86 million downloads. This is even more impressive considering that Q3 2019 ended with September – meaning that Mario Kart Tour achieved this milestone in just 7 days!

Earnings-wise, however, the game was not as stellar. According to Sensor Tower, Mario Kart Tour didn’t even make it to the top 100 grossing mobile games of Q3 2019.

Nevertheless, the mobile racing game definitely launched with a lot of momentum! The big question is whether it can maintain its current player count – especially with a lack of true multiplayer for now.
