Tomoya Ohtani, a Sonic Team composer, was one of the composers who worked on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and recently attended a party Sakurai organized for the game’s composers.
Ohtani brought a sealed copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to the party and requested Sakurai to sign it. Thankfully, he obliged Ohtani’s request so we can see what Sakurai scribbled on the game case:
“It was slightly embarassing to ask (Sakurai) for an autograph, but woop, I’ve received it (te he he).”
And just by doing that, Ohtani has transformed his game into a treasure worth thousands of dollars.
