Masahiro Sakurai Thinks A New Smash Bros. Game Would Be Difficult Without Him

Masahiro Sakurai, the man behind the Super Smash Bros. and Kirby series, has been talking about the game industry through his “Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games” YouTube channel. Recently, he touched an important topic – the development behind Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

In his latest video, on the topic of the future of Smash Bros., Sakurai thinks that there is currently no one “who can simply take the reins” for the series. However, he still believes that the series has a future and a new entry is definitely likely, as the Super Smash Bros. series is “a massive and important title for Nintendo.” Sakurai mentioned it will take some time for everyone to figure out how to make it happen, and he would also love to continue working with Nintendo in the future.
