Today we have a very interesting piece of news coming from Game Freak and Pokemon producer and director Junichi Masuda.
In a recent episode on the official Game Freak YouTube channel, Masuda was sharing with viewers how almost everyone thought Pokémon games are produced by Nintendo.
The producer continued saying that almost 100% of all 200 people he spoke to believe Pokemon games are developed by Nintendo rather than Game Freak, and exclaimed when the same people thought Masuda works at Nintendo.
Masuda added that the moment he returns home, the neighbors’ children will excitedly shout “Isn’t that Masuda?!” and “It’s unbelievable that someone from Nintendo has come here!”
Masuda hopes more people will get to know that it’s Game Freak who makes the Pokémon games and not Nintendo, who merely publishes it.
