Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Is Getting GBA-Inspired eShop Cards In Japan

Fans of Mega Man Battle Network in Japan can look forward to some fun nostalgia when they purchase the digital version of the upcoming Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection in stores!

Capcom has revealed that the title will also be available for purchase as a Nintendo Switch eShop download card from various electronic and convenience outlets in Japan, starting from 27 March 2023. As you can see above, the design of the cards will pay tribute to the series’ original home on the Game Boy Advance (GBA) system – with artwork of the collection reimagined as a GBA cartridge.

Folks will also have the option to purchase Nintendo Switch eShop download cards for Volume 1 and Volume 2 of the game separately. These eShop download cards similarly feature artwork of a GBA cartridge.

As part of a special campaign, customers purchasing the cards from 7-Eleven and Lawson stores will receive a special Battle Chip Set containing 3 in-game Chips that were hand-selected by Mega Man Battle Network scenario writer Masakazu Eguchi. Those that refer a friend to the campaign will also obtain additional Battle Chip Sets.

What do you think? Would you love to get these download cards for your own collection? Feel free to share below!

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will be hitting Nintendo Switch in April 2023. We’ll report back as we hear more in the future.
