Mega Man Franchise Surpasses 33 Million Units Sold

Capcom has announced over 33 million copies of Mega Man video games have been sold worldwide as of the second financial quarter of 2018/2019.

This is an increase of 1 million units for the entire franchise. It’s speculated that Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 + 2 largely contributed to the bump in sales, but keep in mind that Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 + 2 itself did not move 1 million copies.

It’d be interesting to see how Mega Man 11 has performed, but we’ll only find out about that in 3 months time.
