Niantic has announced players around the world will be given the opportunity to catch Mewtwo in Pokemon GO, albeit in “Exclusive Raid Battles”.
Exclusive Raid Battles are almost the same as the current Raid Battles, but to participate in one, trainers will have to be invited to one. They will also “periodically appear” in gyms around the world.
To receive an invitation, a trainer must have successfully completed a raid recently by defeating its Raid Boss, at the same gym where the Exclusive Raid Battle is planned to take place. An “advance warning” will be provided to trainers on when the raid is taking place, so there’s enough time for everyone to prepare.
Raid Eggs gathered from Exclusive Raid Battles may also hatch other powerful Pokemon.
Besides Mewtwo, trainers now have a second chance to catch Lugia, Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos from August 14 to August 31, 2017 in Raid Battles. Don’t miss this opportunity!
