Interesting news – today we now know the company that kicked off efforts to bring Cuphead to Nintendo Switch.
It wasn’t StudioMDHR that came up with the idea of bringing Cuphead to Switch, but rather, Microsoft, the company responsible for the Xbox brand. This was revealed by one of the game’s developers at StudioMDHR to Daniel Bloodworth at Easy Allies.
Bloodworth said Microsoft asked StudioMDHR whether they would like to port Cuphead to Nintendo Switch, and since they were fine with it, they moved on with the plan.
Microsoft will soon bring Xbox Live features to Nintendo Switch starting with Cuphead, so bringing Cuphead to Switch is win-win-win situation for Microsoft, StudioMDHR, and gamers.
