It seems that Nintendo has stopped using genders for Miis on Nintendo Switch 2.
When creating a new Mii from scratch, the Mii Creator on Nintendo Switch 2 asks the user to “select a style for your Mii”. A message below the two styles also reads, “the style you select for your Mii might be reflected as a specific gender in some software.”
The dropping of Mii genders is something new for Nintendo. As of June 4, 2025, the Mii Creator on Nintendo Switch continues to ask users to pick a gender when creating a Mii from scratch.
