Minecraft has clinched second place in Japan’s gaming ranks. The game, which got a new cover for its Bedrock Edition copies sold 45% of their initial and 62,989 units.
Although that is slightly above half of the first place winner, Mario Tennis Aces, who sold over 120,000 units. It is important to note that Minecraft is not exactly a new game and that previous owners of Minecraft for Switch would still get the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft through an eShop download, this makes Minecraft’s physical copy performance quite decent.
