When the New York Times interviewed Nintendo legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, Miyamoto reveals that he is giving “more and more work” to the younger generation, who have been carefully chosen by the company.
“More and more I am trying to let the younger generation fully take the reins”, Miyamoto says. Miyamoto also mentioned the game designers that are recruited by the company shouldn’t be just passionate about playing games.
Shinya Takahashi, one of the leaders of the Nintendo Switch project, added during the time of late Nintendo President Satoru Iwata’s death, new and younger leaders started to take the reins within the company.
