Ten years ago, Xenoblade Chronicles made its debut on the Nintendo Wii in Japan, and changed the history of RPGs forever!
To celebrate this major milestone for the franchise, Monolith Soft shared a gorgeous piece of artwork (by CHOCO) featuring main protagonists Shulk, Elma, and Rex – along with some of their companions in the background. You can check it out in full below:
The Xenoblade Chronicles series has certainly come a long way since its original release. Aside from the release of larger-scale sequels in the form of Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U) and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Switch), Shulk himself was also inducted into the Super Smash Bros. fighter roster – effectively cementing the series as one of Nintendo’s core franchises. As we’ve reported previously, Monolith Soft itself has also been expanding readily throughout the years, with numerous unannounced projects still on the horizon.
All in all, the future of the series has never looked brighter! Happy birthday to Xenoblade Chronicles!
