Capcom has joined forces with the Japanese City of Sakai for a special exhibition featuring Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
This collaboration is part of the larger Sakai’s Ancient Techniques exhibition, which is being held from July 9th till September 4th 2022. Sakai City has a long history of metalworking and the production of swords, guns, weaponry, and cutlery. Given that much of Monster Hunter involves similar crafting of weapons, a collaboration for this exhibit seems like the perfect fit.
The Monster Hunter segment of the exhibit will include a variety of artwork based on the game, including a life-sized replica of the Kakaru Kumo Naki Longsword, measuring over 2.2 meters or 7.2 feet long. The first 10,000 visitors to the exhibit will also receive a Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak sticker as a bonus. In addition, the local Hankai Tramway is running a special tram with a Monster Hunter Rise theme to cooincide with the event.
