Earlier this month, The Pokemon Company and Van Gogh Museum announced a new collaboration – although details were sparse at the time. Well, now we have more information about what visitors can expect at the Amsterdam attraction!
The Van Gogh Museum has released new details about the upcoming collaboration, which will run from 28 September 2023 to 7 January 2024. First off, the museum will host six Pokemon artworks based on famous Van Gogh paintings – such as a painting of Pikachu that resembles “Self-Portrait with Grey Felt Hat” and a painting of Sunflora inspired by “Sunflowers“. These will be available to view at Floor 1 of the Rietveld Building.
Visitors can also participate in a Pokémon Adventure activity and learn about the inspiration of the artworks. After completing the activity, visitors can get a special Pikachu x Van Gogh Museum promotional TCG card. Here’s a look at the car below (click to expand):
Finally, the Pokemon Center website will be offering exclusive merchandise based on the collaboration. These include an exclusive Pikachu plushie, figures, Jigsaw puzzle, posters, a tote bag, and more.
Interested parties can book their tickets to visit the museum at its official website.
