Way back in 2004 after the release of Kirby’s Air Ride, Nintendo announced that they were planning to release a mainline Kirby title for the Gamecube, which was sadly cancelled before it could be completed.
Recently, Twitter account @ObscureKirby shared some new footage from this lost Kirby game, originally discovered by Youtuber Foulowe56. Although of poor quality, the footage gives us a closer look at what this cancelled game could have been like, including a look at several different environments and a few copy abilities.
This footage is in fact the second video of this game uploaded by Foulowe56, who previously uploaded a different video back in January showing a different set of footage. Unlike the second video, the earlier footage seems to show off some special fights, including a battle against a mech piloted by King Dedede.
