Mortal Kombat Reboot Film Premiers March 5th 2021

A few days after its original announcement, New Line Cinema has officially confirmed the release date for the new Mortal Kombat movie.

Although the movie was reported to be entering pre-production this month, it seems that we won’t be seeing much of the film for a while. According to New Line Cinema, the film is currently scheduled to premier on March 5 2021, almost two whole years from now.

Beyond the release date, no new details were shared about the film’s characters or story, although a script has apparently been penned. Given the somewhat mixed reputation of the previous Mortal Kombat films, perhaps its for the best that they take as much time as they need to get this one right.
