After the leaks of the 891st Pokemon in Pokemon GO, which many are now calling “Nutto”, the 891st Pokemon started spawning in Oceania and Europe.
Here’s what happens – when a player encounters “Nutto”, it will appear with no name and no CP. Upon capture, “Nutto” turns out to be a Ditto or Chikorita. Nobody knows what’s going on, but it seems to be intentional as Niantic’s head of marketing tweeted about it.
Making things weirder is the appearance of Kecleon in the wild. Upon capture, it turns out to be a Ditto.
No one knows what’s going on, given that Niantic and The Pokemon Company have no said a single word about “Nutto” or Kecleon’s appearances in Pokemon GO. Perhaps this is a way to get everyone’s attention on Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee, where Nutto will make its official debut. Hopefully we’ll find out details more soon.
